Russian warships armed with nuclear powered cruiser missiles are heading to Venezuela for joint naval exercises next month.It is believed that the this latest Russian deployment of military power to the Western Hemisphere, first since the end of Cold War, is a response to the US dispatch of warships to Georgia last September.
Hugo Chavez, President of the oil rich Latin American nation, visited Russia and secured a $1 billion credit line to by weapons and nuclear technology for his country.
