Hundreds of Venezuelans protested on Tuesday against a new plan that essentially gives Hugo Chavez total power. The protesters don't want to live in a dictatorship. Opposition leaders want their voices to be heard. The interior minister, who resigned from Chavez‘s government in early 2002, told reporters on Tuesdayh: "This is a government with a hypocritical authoritarianism that tries to sell the world certain democratic appearances."
