Inflation for the month of May was slightly less than what was expected, a sign that there is a slowdown of the economy due to the lower revenue from oil which then resulted to reduced demand.
Inflation for May in the city of Caracas was pegged to be around 2.1 percent, slightly lower than April's 2.3 percent.
