Lawmakers that are proving to be loyal to President Chavez has inaugurated a state-run radio station, and so, on Tuesday. This station would now replace a previous broadcaster of which had sandwiched criticism of the Chavez, socialist leader, between jazz and salsa music.

On Wednesday, Venezuelan lawmakers had tripled insurance coverage on bank deposits by somewhere around fourteen thousand dollars, then had sharply raised the premium of banks, in a move that strengthens financial regulation, as well as aims to calm savers. Chavez says that Venezuela is to probe bank irregularities

Hugo Chavez, who is the Venezuelan President, had made it very clear to the people that the government is studying “irregularities” in the operations of a few banks. He said also, that not all private lenders fail to comply with regulations, but this came after he had threatened to nationalize the industry.

An illegal trade embargo that is becoming like a "Berlin Wall" is currently being put up by the Venezuelan government, according to Colombian President, Alvaro Uribe. This would easily be cutting off a few South American neighbors.

Venezuelan banks are being threatened by Hugo Chavez

President Hugo Chavez of Venezuelan had sent a warning out to the nation's private bankers on Sunday saying that they must soon comply with the law or they would have to face nationalization, regardless of the size of their bank.
