Many accidents at refinery

on July 17, 2006, a fire caused the fifth closing of a crude oil distillation unit of Amuay refinery, located in Paraguanį Refining Compound. This fire came less than a week after two other reported major accidents at Paraguanį Refining Compound. As of July 2006, five accidents had been reported at Paraguanį Refining Compound that left three dead and another five injured.
